About CDEK Express Services
CDEK express is a global express delivery company that transports documents and packages. The company was created in Novosibirsk, Russian Federation, in the year 2000 to aid an online store with product distribution in the Siberian Federal District. However, the online store was quickly shut down, and the logistics company grew from a regional to a national and ultimately international player.
The company began as a courier service on February 25, 2000, to ship orders from the Korzina.ru online store across Siberia and the Far East. The name of the company is an abbreviation of Delivery Service Express Courier, which is transliterated as CDEK in Russian. After a while, investors lost interest in the online shop and shifted their focus to the logistics industry.
CDEK delivers urgent and non-urgent standard shipments and papers to over 34,000 Russian cities, as well as 220 countries across the globe, including the United States, the EAEU, Europe, and Asia. There are around 1,400 offices in the organisation, with more than half of them being franchise sites. More than 5,000 cars and 6,000 messengers are used to carry documents and deliveries.
