About Correos Chile Services
Correos de Chile, also known as CorreosChile (not to be confused with the private mail and courier company ChilePost), is a Chilean state-owned and autonomous enterprise dedicated to mailing, money transfers, and national/international courier services, as well as performing Universal Postal Service functions. It was founded in 1747 but was renamed Telex-Chile by the DFL N° 10 on December 24, 1981, after dissolving the former SOE Servicio de Correos y Telégrafos (Post and Telegraph service) and separating mailing and Telex services (that was extinguished as service when Internet becomes massive, but still exists legally as an enterprise, providing other telecommunications services).
